For New & Future Funeral Brands
Whether you're already waiting on your license, or it's still an idea in your head, here's what you need to know:
4–5 minute overview: what we do, why we're the leading platform for at-need online arrangements, and how to prepare before you launch.
Three pieces, one partner. Bundle and save.
The core solution, and the reason every brand signs up: everything you need to run arrangements online, right out of the box.
A clean, call-to-action-driven site that tells families who you are and gets them to arrange with you.
Optional: our online arrangement button works with any website, so you're never locked into using ours.
As a new business, no one's searching for you by name yet. This gets you in front of families who need you right now.
Optional: the most successful brands implement our marketing strategy.
Common questions & misconceptions. Answers we hear come up across different states; always confirm state-specific rules with your own counsel or state board.
Yes. Many brands start exploring and preparing months before they're license-ready. We can't formally onboard (build your live store) until licensing is in hand, but there's a lot you can prepare now so onboarding is fast once you are.
An active business/funeral license number, a finalized GPL (including any online pricing), a high-resolution logo, your family-facing forms, and an active business bank account. Missing items delay the timeline, so the earlier you gather these, the smoother the launch.
Start thinking about how you want to structure packages vs. itemized pricing, and whether you'll offer a discounted online-only rate (common for cremation brands to drive volume). We can review a draft with you and flag anything that won't translate cleanly to an online store.
Forms are e-signable once you have them ready to upload; that part's built into onboarding. A logo is a separate matter: if you don't have one yet, we can design one for you. Ask your rep for logo design pricing.
Onboarding typically runs about one month, start to finish: five milestones covering discovery, store/forms approval, and training on case creation, paperwork, and payments, followed by go-live. You'll have a dedicated Client Success Manager guiding you through every step. Your contract begins on day one of onboarding since that first month is built in; the monthly-only portion starts once onboarding wraps. It's not a hard floor, though: your CSM can move faster if you're ready to go live sooner.
Yes. We can build and host your full website, and when you're ready to launch, we can run your at-need online marketing as well.
Yes. Most states allow some or all of the arrangement process to be completed online or remotely, though state-specific requirements may still apply to things like death certificates, cremation authorizations, disposition permits, transportation of remains, and who is legally authorized to make arrangements, and these can determine whether the entire process can be completed remotely. Parting Pro works in all 50 states, so if your state has a unique requirement or caveat, we can discuss options for your checkout and forms flow: you remain in control of the process, while we help configure Parting Pro to work within your state's requirements. The federal Funeral Rule also gives consumers the right to obtain funeral pricing information and itemized prices without necessarily visiting a funeral home.
Generally your online pricing needs to align with your GPL, though many states allow a clearly-disclosed online-only discounted rate. Requirements vary by state; we'll flag anything relevant during onboarding, but confirm specifics with your state board or attorney.
Most states permit e-signature for these forms, but a few have specific requirements around witnessing or notarization for certain documents. We'll help you identify which of your forms are e-sign-ready.
No. The platform is built around itemized pricing disclosure from the ground up, which is part of what keeps you aligned with Funeral Rule-style requirements.
Payments run through Stripe, connected directly to the platform once your business bank account is set up during onboarding, so there's no separate merchant account for you to manage.
Yes. Many new brands launch cremation-first and expand their offerings once they're live. The system is built to grow with you.
No, you can use any website with your Parting Pro arranger simply by adding a link on your website.
We don't offer formal business consulting, but several people on our team have actually run cremation and funeral brands themselves, so we can share what's worked (and what hasn't) as you get started. Ask your rep about what guidance is available for your situation.
Real brands who started right where you are (pre-license, still preparing) and are now live on Parting Pro.
Parting Pro made it super easy for our families to make arrangements from home, perfect for our affordable cremation brand. Families still call with questions, but payment and paperwork is a breeze. We also used Parting Pro with Google ads and we got over 10 cases in the first month of opening!
"We launched Rivercrest Cremation in 2021 and partnered with Parting Pro. Their service has been incredible. The software has enabled us to deliver 5-Star service while becoming Oklahoma's fastest growing cremation brand."
Parting pro has been one of the best business decisions I've ever made. The online arranger has saved so much time and it gives the family a sense of control and accuracy of information. The system is easy to use and the support center is incredibly fast in assisting me with whatever I need. I would highly recommend them.
With Parting Pro, we grew from 0 to 600 calls within two years.
